ENTRUSTING CUSTODIANSHIP TO DEA & SANTA SABINA COLLEGE
In this the 130th year of Santa Sabina College, a special Ritual to mark the transfer of the Santa Sabina College property to Dominican Education Australia (DEA) took place on Friday 16 February 2024 in Strathfield NSW.
Sr Mary-Clare Holland OP, Prioress and Sr Judith Lawson OP, Eileen Young (Chair) and Trustees of Dominican Education Australia (DEA), Santa Sabina College Board Chair, Kitty Guerin and Principal, Paulina Skerman together with local sisters and the College Leadership Team gathered for the moving ritual in the Santa Sabina Chapel. Candles representing the past, present and future were lit, and words of remembrance and gratitude shared as part of the liturgy before the signing over of the land to the DEA Trustees and buildings to Santa Sabina College Board.
The Sisters gifted a plaque to Eileen Young, Chair of DEA entrusting with confidence the mission of Catholic education in the Dominican tradition at Santa Sabina College to the Trustees of Dominican Education Australia and the College Board.
