Siena College

Siena College is an independent Catholic school for girls from Years 7 to 12. It is situated at 815 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, Victoria.At the invitation of the Dominican Fathers, four Sisters from the Dominican community at Maitland NSW arrived in Melbourne in 1926 to open a primary school in Camberwell. The first Prioress was Mother M Concepta O’Donoghue OP.

Fourteen years later, on 2 February 1940, at a property across the road from their primary school, the Sisters opened Siena Convent. It would offer a secondary education for girls and began with an enrolment of 15 students. There are currently 825 students enrolled at Siena College.
