HAPPY ST DOMINIC’S DAY

Dominic gave those who came after him a compass, not a map,

and required that we be

where other people are not…

on the edge…

always on the lookout for the new…

the latest opportunity to preach from the perspective of the eyes of God.

Each generation must interpret the Dominican ‘thing’ that is needed in our own times

and culture and circumstances.

May God the Creator, who made us, bless us.

May God the Son, who redeemed us, send healing into our midst.

May God the Holy Spirit, who gives us life, move within us.

May God give us eyes to see God, ears to hear God, and hands to bring God’s work into the world.
